Water Aerobics Classes Available at Walt Disney World’s Contemporary Resort

We have learned of a newly offered exercise class at Disney’s Contemporary resort that sounds like an amazing way to get in a workout while at Walt Disney World.  We announced previously that certain resorts were starting free yoga sessions and now we have learned about water aerobics at Disney’s Contemporary Resort in Walt Disney World.  The water aerobics class is led by an instructor and scheduled for every single Friday morning, as long as the weather is safe to do so.  The class is scheduled for 8:15 AM on these mornings, so it can be a great way to start your day and get energized before heading to the parks.

The class appears to be free for guests at the resort to enjoy.  The class would by default be limited only to resort guests since you will need to scan your Magic Band in order to enter the pool area.  Disney’s Contemporary Resort is also one of the resorts that offers Yoga on the Lawn.  This is currently scheduled on the lawn area at the resort every Thursday, weather permitting,  from 7:30 AM – 8 AM.

It seems that Disney is trying to add additional amenities and services to the deluxe resorts at Walt Disney World and also provide guests with more healthy activities to enjoy during their stay.  These free events definitely help make these higher priced resorts feel like more of a value when there are additional free activities and classes available!

What do you all think of water aerobics coming to Walt Disney World?  Who out there would try a Disney water aerobics class?

About Christy Caby

I am a long time Disney addict! This love began as a child and stayed with me in my teen years. I completed the Disney College Program, was engaged and honeymooned at Disney, visited WDW while pregnant with each of our two boys, and have brought our boys since they were babies (they are now 5 and 2). We have over 10 Disney World vacations under our belt. Our recent adventure was a big move from St. Louis, MO to Florida! We knew that we needed more Disney magic that just a couple times of year, and we worked hard to make it happen! Now we hit the parks almost every weekend! We are working to dine at every location, experience every attraction and look for every hidden Mickey! We want to be able to say that we have one it all! We are branching into the Cruise Line and are planning a trip to Disneyland in California next year. To say that we are Disney addicts may be an understatement. When I am not at WDW with my family, I am reading Disney blogs and news, crafting (usually Disney décor for our home), planning Disney vacations for others or working on my dissertation for my doctoral program. I am a Project Manager by profession, so I have mastered fitting everything into a tight schedule! We feel we lead an exciting life where we get to spend a lot of time together doing what we love! I love being able to this love and Disney magic with everyone else so that others can make the most of whatever time they get to have at the most magical place on earth!
