The food experiences can be equally as exciting as the attraction experiences that Walt Disney World has to offer. There are many treats that are either exclusive to Disney or just iconic treats that Disney does extremely well. I know that you don’t have much available precious Disney time available in between all of the other things you want to fit in, so I have put together a list for you of the items that I feel would be the top 5 Disney treats to make sure that you give a try.

5. Napoleon – Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie, Epcot
Located in the France pavilion at Epcot, this dessert is delicious! It’s a puff pastry layered with cream. Pair it with a cup of coffee in the morning for a satisfying breakfast. This location actually opens at 9AM while the World Showcase doesn’t open until 11AM. You can enjoy extremely low crowds and a peaceful stroll to the location before the hustle and bustle.
4. Funnel Cake – Sleepy Hollow, Magic Kingdom
We feel that the best funnel cake in Disney World (and really one of the best EVER) is found at Sleepy Hollow. You can get it with powdered sugar, cinnamon or strawberries and whipped cream, and all are delicious! My husband prefers the traditional powdered sugar version, while I prefer the cinnamon and my boys like the strawberries and whipped cream, which just means that we have to get all three! First world problems!
3. Caramel/Candy Mickey Apples – Sweet Spells, Hollywood Studios
There is just something comforting and nostalgic about caramel apples. Well at Disney, they take it to a whole new level. You can have the perfect caramel or candy apple by selecting your own apple, what it is dipped in, and what toppings it is rolled in. You can also get one that has Mickey ears (since everything tastes better with Mickey ears), for an exclusively Disney treat! There are many delicious combinations to make! It’s a great treat to split as a family since the thick coated apples are really rich (and delicious)!
2. School Bread – Kringla Bakery og Kafe, Epcot
If you are a regular Disney visitor, you have probably heard of School Bread. If you haven’t, then add this one to the list of “must try’s” and make your way to Norway! This is a moderately sweet bread-like roll, which is filled with vanilla custard. It’s topped with white frosting and coconut to finish off this delicious dessert. It isn’t a heavy dessert that is too overpowering or fills you up too much before a later meal, so give this tasty treat a try!

1. Dole Whip – Aloha Isle, Magic Kingdom
This choice needs no introduction. The Dole Whip is one of the most popular treats in all of Disney and a rite of passage for all Disney fans. This delicious fan favorite comes with the option of a cup of the delicious pineapple soft serve, a twist version or the Dole Whip float. We have tried them all, and probably prefer the classic Dole Whip for the majority of the time, but enjoy them all! If you would like the float experience with a little bit of alcohol, head on over to Epcot and try out that offering!
There are an abundance of tasty offerings at Disney World, but hopefully you agree that these are at the top of the most wanted list! Caution – these treats do become addictive and habit forming! Happy snacking!
