While you’re on your Walt Disney World vacation you will definitely want to stop by Disney Springs (formerly known as Downtown Disney). Here you will still have all of the Disney magic with a little bit more of a laid back atmosphere. It’s a great place to relax for a while, away from the parks. 10) Free Parking

One thing that you will love about Disney Springs is you do not have to pay to park. Disney Springs has three parking garages, along with other ground level parking lots to make your experience a bit easier. Valet parking is also available, but there’s a charge for that. Note that there are no buses that go from Disney Springs to the theme parks.

9) Free Admission

You do not need an admission ticket to get into Disney Springs. It is a great way to experience some of the magic that Walt Disney World provides without having to spend the price of a ticket.

8) Photo Opportunities

There are many different photo opportunities at Disney Springs. From giant LEGO creations, to the Coca-Cola Polar Bear, to just beautiful scenery, there are plenty of great spots for pictures. Make sure your battery is charged, because you’ll definitely be taking a lot of pictures here.

7) Quick Service Restaurants

If you’re looking for a place to get a quick meal or snack, Disney Springs has plenty of options for you. You can get a pretzel at Wetzel’s Pretzels or some ice cream at Haagen Dazs. To get your coffee fix head to one of two Starbucks locations. If you’re looking more for an actual meal, you can’t go wrong with Earl of Sandwich or Blaze Fast Fire’d Pizza. If someone in your party is vegan or has dairy allergies Blaze Fast Fire’d Pizza has vegan cheese available. Speaking of allergies, if you want some delicious baked goods but have food allergies or are vegan you will need to check out Eric McKenna’s Bakery NYC. Everything in their shop is vegan, gluten free, wheat free, soy free and refined sugar free. They have donuts, cakes, cookies, cupcakes, bagels, soft serve ice cream, and more. There are also food trucks with all sorts of different choices.

If you’re looking for more of a relaxing sit down restaurant Disney Springs has you covered there too. The BOATHOUSE is a one of a kind restaurant with water taxis and other fun choices. Planet Hollywood Observatory has a unique atmosphere that puts you right in the middle of the live entertainment scene. You can even have a meal in the middle of the jungle, or so it feels, at Rain Forest Cafe. These are just a few of the incredible restaurants that Disney Springs has to offer.

There are all sorts of different things going on all around Disney Springs that are sure to entertain you. Very talented musical artists will share their gifts with you nightly. While walking around, make sure to stop and give them a listen and support them.

Let the competitive side of you come out at Splitsville Luxury Lanes. Enjoy a fun time of bowling at this modern spin of a bowling alley. There are many delicious food items here as well.

3) Movie Theaters

Disney Springs has two different movie options available. The first AMC Movies offering is like your normal movie theater. AMC Fork & Screen has a dining option available where you can have dinner and a movie. Seeing movies are more fun on Disney property, right?

2) Aerophile (formerly known as Characters in Flight)

Want to have an amazing view of Walt Disney World resort? Then you will definitely want to check out Aerophile. Gently sore 400 feet into the air in a tethered hot air balloon. Make sure to bring your camera because this is a wonderful picture opportunity. Note that this experience does cost extra, and it is weather permitting.

Shopping fans, get ready because you will keep busy here. For the kids or the kid at heart there’s Build-A-Dino by Build-A-Bear Workshop and The LEGO Store. For Star Wars fans in your family there is Star Wars Trading Post. You need to check out World of Disney, which is the world’s largest Disney character store. There are 12 different rooms that are all Disney themed! Some of the restaurants also have gift shops. This does not even scratch the surface of all that Disney Springs has to offer.
