Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is a dinner and show at Disney’s Fort Wilderness resort that every Disney fan should experience at least once. (Even though we know you will want to go again and again!) There are so many amazing things that could be said about this show, but here at the top 6 things that I know you will love about Hoop Dee Doo Revue:

6. All you care to enjoy

There are many of us out there that also come to Disney for the food. Disney food is amazing! At this location, you get the comfort (or discomfort…) of knowing that you get to enjoy as much as you want of these offerings, and believe me… you will want to! The food is served to your table, so no getting up and down to make plates and coordinate the kids’ plates. You get to sit back and request more of anything that you wish to have. The menu consists of bread, salad, home-style fried chicken, BBQ pork ribs, corn on the cob, baked beans and a delicious strawberry shortcake for dessert. It’s a hearty meal, and one that you may want to consider skipping lunch for!

5. Unlimited alcohol

Yes, you read that right! You get unlimited alcohol at this event! You also get unlimited soft drinks and coffee, but for those of you that enjoy beer or sangria, then you will be excited to enjoy the adult beverages for the evening. I personally, and a big sangria fan, so it’s one of my favorite parts of the experience and makes for a relaxing show.

4. The nostalgia

The show opened in 1974, and hosts the show 2 to 3 times per night every week at Pioneer Hall in Fort Wilderness. That is a LOT of shows that have been performed for guests and the guests keep coming back year after year to experience the amazing show and meal. This show has even been named one of the longest running dinner shows in American history, so you have to respect the nostalgia behind the show and look forward to the getting the comfort of one of your favorite experiences time and time again.

3. Special celebrations

These are especially fun at the show. They make a big deal out of birthdays, anniversaries and various other celebrations and include the guests in activities during the show. It makes for memorable experiences for these guests and even those that are just enjoying the show. Definitely consider this location if you are celebrating something special.

2. Gratuities included

The price for the meal and show may seem a little pricey ranging from $55 to $70 for an adult meal. These prices are also based on your seating preferences for the show. You can at least feel comforted in knowing that the gratuities are included, so that is one less thing to worry about and something that won’t end up being an additional cost to your meal!

1. The show

The theme of the show is a very down-home western, slapstick type of feel. You can expect to be subjected to lots of slapstick jokes, songs and numbers that will have you laughing and enjoying the simple humor. This a show that even the kids get a kick out of and truly enjoy, unlike other shows where they may not feel as involved or like they understand all of the “storyline”. This one truly is fun for the whole family.

About Christy Caby

I am a diehard Disney fanatic! I fell in love with all things Disney from an early age and that only increased once I first visited Walt Disney World! It led me to complete a yearlong Disney College Program working at merchandise locations within Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Disney-MGM Studios at that time) and I worked for Disney Parks & Resorts Technology in Project/Program Management. Now I get to write about Disney and help others plan their magical vacations! Disney holds a special place in the hearts of my entire family as my husband proposed there, we honeymooned there, took trips while pregnant with each of my boys and have visited with them many, many times from 8 weeks old through now. One of my favorite memories from each trip is always the look on my kids’ faces the first time they see the castle. I’d love to help you plan your magical vacation!
