12 Reasons Walt Disney World Is The Most Magical Place On Earth

Disney is absolutely the most magical place on Earth and if you have been on a Disney vacation before, then you definitely understand why.  There are so many reasons why it is so magical, but here are our top 12 reasons why:

12. The amazing cast members

Disney definitely wouldn’t be the same without the amazing cast members.  They are a huge part of the experience and they work extremely hard to make sure that each and every guest has a magical vacation.

11. The perfect grounds

Disney puts a lot of effort into ensuring that the grounds all over Walt Disney World are perfect and well maintained.  There are water features, landscaping, character elements and more.  Everything is kept looking extremely clean and new and we love the pristine feel of Disney.

10. Fireworks shows

Disney is definitely known for all of the amazing fireworks shows.  3 of the 4 major theme parks incorporate fireworks into shows in some way.  The fireworks at the Magic Kingdom are typically the most popular.  The parks also do special fireworks shows for different holidays that are different than the usual shows.  They are all very worth seeing!

9. Fun attractions for the entire family

They are tons of great rides throughout Walt Disney World and many of them are suitable for the entire family and children of all ages.  Most of the rides and other attractions are perfectly themed with many of the ride queues also themed to match the attraction.  They are unlike anything you will find at any other amusement park.

8. The resorts are perfectly themed

These aren’t your average resorts.  They are all perfectly themed down to every little detail.  You can pick the theme and budget that best suits your needs.  There is definitely something for everyone and you will be extremely glad that you stayed on property.  Plus, you also get a lot of extra perks as a resort guest.

7. Amazing shows that everyone will enjoy

There are several different shows throughout the theme parks and there are Broadway-caliber shows among them.  The shows are entertaining for the entire family and a great way to enjoy Walt Disney World rather than just focusing on riding all of the rides.

6. Holiday celebrations and events

No matter when you visit Walt Disney World there is probably some sort of special celebration or festival going on somewhere on property.  If you happen to visit during the holidays, then you will definitely be in for a treat.  Disney definitely goes all out for holidays, especially the Christmas season. All of these celebrations are definitely very magical and make for a magical time.

5. The food is delicious with tons of options

We can’t get enough of Disney food.  This isn’t your normal amusement park food.  You will be able to find a wide variety of different options from world-renowned chefs.  There are a variety of quicks service restaurants and table service restaurants with a wide variety of prices so that there will be something for all tastes and budgets when you dine.

4. Free transportation all over Walt Disney World

Once you are on Walt Disney World property, then you will have a very easy time getting around to the different parks and resorts.  There is free transportation all over Walt Disney World to and from all of the various locations.  You can take bus, monorail or boat transportation.  There is also “Minnie Van” transportation that you can purchase for a more direct route.

3. Character meet and greets

The characters are definitely one of the most magical parts about Walt Disney World.  There is just something extra fun and magical about meeting Mickey Mouse and various other favorite characters.  You definitely have to make sure to meet a couple characters when you are there.  If you don’t like waiting in line, then a character breakfast might be a great option for you.

2. Everything is synced within Magic Bands and My Disney Experience

This is definitely one of our favorite things about a Disney vacation!  It is so nice that all of the vacation details are synced within My Disney Experience and then accessible via your Magic Band once you are on property.  You can use your Magic Band as your room key, resort purchases, park admission, access Dining Plan entitlements, PhotoPass and more.  We love that it is all streamlined and easy to use once we are on property!

1. Magical moments happen all over property

There is always something magical going on.  Guests come with their families from all over the world to have a magical time and if you look around you will see magical moments going on around you.  It is amazing to be in the middle of so much happiness.  We have met so many great people during our vacations by talking to different families in line and at meals, too.  There is definitely a reason is it known as the “Happiest Place on Earth”.

About Christy Caby

I am a long time Disney addict! This love began as a child and stayed with me in my teen years. I completed the Disney College Program, was engaged and honeymooned at Disney, visited WDW while pregnant with each of our two boys, and have brought our boys since they were babies (they are now 5 and 2). We have over 10 Disney World vacations under our belt. Our recent adventure was a big move from St. Louis, MO to Florida! We knew that we needed more Disney magic that just a couple times of year, and we worked hard to make it happen! Now we hit the parks almost every weekend! We are working to dine at every location, experience every attraction and look for every hidden Mickey! We want to be able to say that we have one it all! We are branching into the Cruise Line and are planning a trip to Disneyland in California next year. To say that we are Disney addicts may be an understatement. When I am not at WDW with my family, I am reading Disney blogs and news, crafting (usually Disney décor for our home), planning Disney vacations for others or working on my dissertation for my doctoral program. I am a Project Manager by profession, so I have mastered fitting everything into a tight schedule! We feel we lead an exciting life where we get to spend a lot of time together doing what we love! I love being able to this love and Disney magic with everyone else so that others can make the most of whatever time they get to have at the most magical place on earth!
