10 Walt Disney World Experiences That Give Us Chill Bumps

Disney is one of the most magical vacations that guests will ever have.  Experiencing such magic and happiness comes with a lot of chill bumps from all of the amazing experiences.  Here are the top 10 Disney experiences that always give us chill bumps:

10. Meeting Mickey Mouse (or other favorite characters)

There is always something extra special about meeting your favorite characters.  Mickey Mouse is definitely one of the most amazing meet and greets, but we get excited and get chill bumps at many of the character meet and greets.

9. Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

Tower of Terror in Hollywood Studios is one of the spookiest attractions you will find at Walt Disney World.  The entire attraction has a spooky vibe, but the views from the top as you are about to complete your drop sequence are definitely the most intense!  It is definitely a thrill ride that isn’t for the faint-hearted.

8. Festival of the Lion King

If you are a fan of The Lion King animated film, then you definitely can’t miss the live performance of Festival of the Lion King in Animal Kingdom.  There are a variety of performers including singers, stilt walkers, dancers and more.  The vocal performances are superb and you feel completely immersed in the entire experience.  I always get the chill bumps as the lights go down and everything begins.

7. Drops on Splash Mountain

Splash Mountain is one of the classic attractions at the Magic Kingdom.  This attraction features Brer Rabbit and many of his friends.  It is a water attraction where you ride in log-shaped boats.  There are a few different drops throughout the attraction and each of them are thrilling.  The most thrilling is probably the one where you look like you are plunging into a thorny briar patch.

6. The amazing view of Cinderella Castle from Main Street, U.S.A.

This is one of my favorite moments of a Disney vacation.  That first look at Cinderella Castle from the Magic Kingdom park entrance on Main Street really sets the tone for the amazing vacation.  This is one of the reasons why we typically pick the Magic Kingdom as our first park to visit during our stay so that we can start the vacation off one of the most magical ways possible.

5. Epcot Forever

This new nighttime spectacular located in the center of the World Showcase in Epcot is completely thrilling.  There are projections, fireworks and an amazing musical score. It is a fantastic way to end your evening at Epcot.

4. Fantasmic! Finale

Fantasmic in Hollywood Studios is definitely one of our favorite evening shows at Walt Disney World.  The entire show is outstanding and will leave you completely engaged in the experience, but the finale is definitely where everyone in the theater will very likely have chill bumps.  The steamboat with Mickey and friends followed by Sorcerer Mickey conducting the fireworks from the top of the mountain is absolutely amazing.  I could watch it over and over again.

3. The takeoff for Aerosmith’s Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster

Once you get in your “super stretch” limo and get in queue to take off, it is all thrills from there. This Hollywood Studios coaster blasts you from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just a few seconds. From there the thrills keep going as the coaster experiences loops and cork screws.  This is all while listening to Aerosmith music, which keeps the energy level extremely high.  It is definitely unlike any other roller coaster you have ever been on.

2. Soarin’ Around the World

Soarin’ at Epcot has always been an amazing attraction, but the conversion to Soarin’ Around the World made it an even more amazing experience.  You get to see breathtaking views of several different countries while experiencing that amazing scents and the feeling of hang gliding.  It is an extremely immersive experience and definitely one that will give you chill bumps time and time again.

1. Happily Ever After

Watching fireworks at the Magic Kingdom is something that all guests must experience during their vacation.  There is nothing more magical than watching the projections on the iconic Cinderella Castle and the fireworks going off all around you.  We hope that all guests leave feeling like they have experienced their own personal happily ever after.
